When planning your Jamaica outfits, think flowy and easy to wear. You’ll probably be spending the majority of your time at the resort and on the beach, so an easy dress or two-piece set is the way to go! For resort dinners, opt for a fancier dress, and for excursions, such as waterfall excursions or horseback riding, you can wear a more casual dress that’s easy to change into or out of.

In Jamaica, you can go as bold as you’d like for the prints, think bright colors, prints, and even crochet! Here are some options below:

2. Bathing Suits

Wondering what to pack for Jamaica that you’ll wear daily?

If there’s one thing NOT to forget to pack to Jamaica, it’s a bathing suit! I opted for really fun one-piece sets for rafting, waterfall exploring, and excursions for a cute Jamaica outfit and for a tan on the beach, a fun 2 piece set.

Your swimwear is going to be a big part of your Jamaica outfits so choose ones that make you feel confident yet comfortable. Here were my favorite ones that I wore on my trip!

3. Beach Bags & Accessories

A cute Jamaica outfit isn’t complete without a beach bag and accessories, they can really take your Jamaica outfit to the next level! I loved this one and this one from Amazon, they were perfect for the beach because it was so easy to get sand out of them.

For accessories, I opted for cute hair clips that could dress up my outfit while also being practical for tying up my hair.

4. Beach Cover Ups

Beach cover-ups are a must when you’re thinking about what to pack for Jamaica. Whether you’re done tanning by the beach and headed to eat or just finished waterfall exploring and heading home, you must add beach coverups to your list of what to pack for Jamaica! These were my favorite one that can elevate your Jamaica outfit in an instant.

I love these because they’re super easy to put on and elevate every Jamaica outfit.

4. Sunscreen (Trust Me on This One)

If there’s ONE thing you need to add to your list of what to pack for Jamaica, it’s sunscreen. The sun in Jamaica is some of the strongest I’ve ever experienced, and even 20 minutes without sunscreen left us extremely burnt and toasty.

We ended up finishing an entire 5.5oz of sunscreen in only 4 days! Make sure to pack sunscreen for Jamaica because it’s extremely expensive to get it at the resorts and the brands aren’t as good. Here are my holy grail sunscreens below:

5. Beach Essentials

You’ll most likely spend most of your time lounging around at the beach or the pool, so pack your favorite beach essentials! Even though many resorts in Jamaica are all-inclusive, the two most popular ones I’ve been to didn’t have most things like floaties and beach clips.

6. Bug Spray

Lastly, you’ll definitely want to bring some bug spray or insect repellent. This is often overlooked when people think about what to pack for Jamaica, but trust me—the bugs come out at night in the tropical climate. Grab a mini spray or some insect-repellent bracelets to be safe.
